How to make your first $1,000 from social media in 60 days

If you want to make your first $1,000 from social media in 2025, this is for you.

Bookings from Airbnb and Google Ads come a little easier. People browsing these channels are actively looking for their next stay.

Social media is different. No one is looking for you. The algorithm shows people your content based on their PAST interests. Not current.

Aka: The opposite of Airbnb and Google.

Good news!

I've been running social ads for years.

Today, I use the same system every time to turn Facebook into Face-money! (idk)

That system is what I'll share with you today. At most, it takes 60 days to complete.

Let's dive in.

1) Post Organically

First, find 3-5 formats that you like from other rental accounts.

Then, create your own version of them.

Finally, post them.

Format: a style of video or photo.

Creating a massive audience of raving fans is not the goal here. That will come later.

Instead, the name of the game is to learn:

  • Which format sparks the most chatter (comments).

  • What post type gets the most saves.

  • What drives website visits (clicks).

Knowing these metrics make for cheaper ads. The data will tell you what ad type makes people go "wahoo!"

2) Engagement Campaigns

Next, do this:

  1. Take the format with the best metrics from organically posting.

  2. Make more of them. 7-15 is ideal.

  3. Run some sort of engagement ads campaign

Warning: We're about to get technical. Put your thinking cap on. Mine's a colorful one with the propeller.

Engagement campaigns help train the pixel.

Pixel: Piece of code social platforms use to measure ad success. It gets placed on your website. This is the only way they know how well ads are working.

Here's how it works:

  1. Launch ads

  2. Whoever clicks, becomes a lead, starts the bookings process, etc... Gets one point from the pixel.

  3. Whoever doesn't, no points.

  4. People who have more points will see an ad more and more often. This is because the pixel knows they are interested.

Main goal: Train the pixel.

3) Purchase Campaigns

The final boss: run ad campaigns for bookings.

But first, a framework.

Don't run a purchase campaign until the pixel has seen:

  • 1,000 users start the booking process (InitiateCheckout)

  • 250 users become a lead (Leads)

  • If you can, 10-25 purchases (Bookings)

The transition from an engagement campaign is simple.

  1. Take the top 3-5 ads from the engagement campaign

  2. Copy them

  3. Paste them into a purchase campaign

  4. Call it a hard days work

Plan to spend 20-100% of the bookings value to acquire the first few bookings. This number will drop over time.

How to make your first $1,000 from social media in 60 days

Here are some timestamps to set your expectations:

  • Day 1-30: Post organically.

  • Day 30+: Run engagement campaigns + post organically.

  • Day 45/60+: Run purchase & engagement campaigns + post organically.

Do this, you're first $1,000 from social media will come in no time.

That's all for today. I'll see you in the next article.

P.S. Writing this from Colorado. Whole team is out here. More on that later. For future knowledge: dramamine solves altitude sickness. Itโ€™s like $2 at the gas station.
