How to 10x Your Marketing in Two Hours per Day
My first ever big boy job was a fitness coach. I used the think the key to my clients success was:
Strategically planned workouts
Dialed nutrition plans
Daily curls (jk)
All those things were important to losing weight or gaining muscle.
But, the biggest driver of their success was investing the time.
I once coached a kid who had the goal of playing college baseball.
Honestly, his workout program wasn't anything special.
Day 1: He was 155 lbs soaking wet.
Day whenever-he-left: Accepted a scholarship to play college baseball at 195 lbs.
20% of his success was due to the program. There were some simple speed and hand-eye coordination exercise we HAD to do.
The other 80% was all him. He just kept showing up.
Marketing works the same way.
20% of it is understanding the tactics and strategies. Aka the stuff you learn in this newsletter.
The other 80%? Putting in the time to actually do it.
Yet, the time required to move mountains with your marketing strategy may be less than you think.
Today, I'm going to give you a weekly to-do list that only needs two hours a day.
Follow this, 10x your marketing.
Before we start
Every stay has 3 marketing paths they can choose from:
Social Marketing
Search Marketing
Social + Search Marketing
THIS QUIZ will help you pick that path. Some things I talk about today won’t make sense unless you’ve picked a path.
Let’s begin…
Monday: Work The Top of Funnel (Part 1)
Common tactics for top of funnel marketing are:
Ads
SEO
Social Content
Come off the weekend by making these better.
If you run Meta ads, create new Reels and photos.
Google Ads? Find new keywords.
SEO? Build new pages.
I’m not saying you have to do anything with these assets. That will be decided on Wednesday. Just keep these on deck.
Tuesday: Emails, Emails and more Emails
Your priority task on this day should be to write or research your next email promo that gets sent to your list.
If writing one email takes less than two hours, write more. Good emails sent a lot of times get bookings.
Wednesday: Work The Top of Funnel (Part 2)
Today is pretty simple.
Check in on your ads to see how they are doing compared to last week.
If they’re doing well and making money, spend more.
Not doing well? Launch the new ads you created on Monday.
If you’re running Meta ads, the Reels and photos you make are responsible for 90% of results. Some will hum for months, others are one hit wonders.
For Google Ads, you spend money on keywords and assets.
Keywords: The terms people use to find stays like yours.
Assets: Ad add-ons (Phone number, photos, additional site links, etc...)
These are all ad variables. Try to only use the ones that get conversions. Sometimes, Google will spend a lot of your money on assets that don’t make money.
This should also be the day you schedule social posts and SEO content.
Thursday: Analyze
The weeks almost over and by now you should have:
Emails launched
Ads produced
Social posts and SEO content scheduled
Spend this time finding what works. Today is data day.
The goal? Answer questions like:
Which ads are driving the most results?
What do I have to say in an email to get clicks and bookings?
Which SEO topic is getting the most eyeballs and clicks?
What to do with this information:
Make more of the things that work.
Focus Thursday on answering these questions. Every week. Forever.
This is how you find diamond in the rough phrases or content pieces that speak directly to your guests.
This is how you win. Incoming cheesy phrase...
"If you don't know where you've been, you won't know where you're going."
Friday: Catch Up
Truth be told, there will be days where two hours isn’t enough. Spend Friday’s catching up or executing a good idea you found online.
All caught up?
Learn at least one new thing.
Consume content.
Talk shop with another rental operator.
Anything works.
That's all for today. I'll see you in the next article.

P.S. Back home this week. Marathon season has begun. Deep into week one of training. Feeling tired but I’ll catch up.
